Lifts

Lift fault diagnosis, safety and maintenance, told from field experience and valid for any make.

⚠️ Safety above all

  • Work on lifts is carried out only by qualified and authorised personnel.
  • Before any work: lockout/tagout (isolate, lock with padlock and tag, and verify absence of voltage).
  • Watch out for what can stay live: controller, lighting, inverter (residual voltage) and battery-powered rescue equipment.
  • On the car roof always in inspection mode; in the pit only with the stop switch activated; never leave jumpers in the safety chain or landing doors open unattended.
  • If people are trapped, the rescue comes first and is carried out by trained staff, following the installation’s procedure.

The academy’s content is for guidance only and does not replace local regulations, the documentation of each installation or official training.
